Aloha everyone! i was just wondering if there is a way to get e-mail alerts for yahoo mail? Either via the net or on my phone? I tried using the yahoo toolbar, but it's not accessable with NVDA. I'd really appreciate any help with this. Thanks!
I used yahoo for years, and finally switched entirely to gmail cause yahoo isn't the least bit blind friendly. it's nothing you are or aren't doing. so, why not do away with that particular email address, and get an account from a provider that's actually accessible?
All you need do is run Yahoo Messenger. If you sign in to messenger you'll hear when you have mail. That is a simple way.
Next if you install the tool bar you can go in to the Windows and set Yahoomail as your mail provider. Than you need to go in to sounds and set the email sound you want. That is more difficult.
If you really want to do it like that I'll relearn it. You should be able to find the instructions for that in the Yahoo mail help section. It gives step by step.
